Nestled within a desirable Boca Raton neighborhood, this 1970s Florida Ranch-style home possessed incredible potential but required a comprehensive modern evolution. The original layout was defined by dark, carpeted rooms and restrictive interior walls that compromised the flow of the house.
To maximize the footprint for an expanding family, the home underwent a strategic spatial reconfiguration. The laundry room was seamlessly integrated into the garage, and a previous exterior canopy was transformed into a fully conditioned, versatile addition featuring a dedicated kid's playroom, a private home office, and an in-home exercise space.
The outdoor living space was completely reimagined into a private oasis. A custom-designed, tiered pool fountain clad in exquisite tile introduces the soothing artistry of moving water. Underfoot, the original concrete patio was elevated with premium terrazzo tile and matching pool coping. To complete the resort-style retreat, sculptural split-face block retaining walls with coordinated copings were introduced to beautifully define the landscape and maximize outdoor functionality.
WALTER BENNETT directed the project from conception to approval, executing the initial zoning analysis, building code reviews, architectural design concepts, and the precise construction documents required to secure City of Boca Raton building permits. To guarantee seamless execution, WB provided dedicated oversight during construction, ensuring the builder brought our precise design vision to life without compromise.
The resulting redesign unlocks the home's true value. By introducing a bright, fluid open-concept floor plan, beautifully renovated bathrooms, a chef-inspired kitchen, and meticulously restored original terrazzo flooring, this residence seamlessly blends timeless mid-century character with high-end, functional luxury.
